Do's and Don'ts for Handling Plastic Pallets
- Do's
- 1. Pallet to be handled ONLY with proper Material Handling Equipments like Stacker/Reach Truck/BOPT/HOPT
- 2. The MHE forks to be inserted at 90 degree only Forks to be inserted only inside the fork pockets
- 3. While using Reach Truck/BOPT speed should be at the lowest while inserting the forks to avoid hitting the edges
- 4. MHE's to be operated only by trained permanent operators
- 5. Load should not be more than that specified by the manufacturer
- 6. Pallet should be protected from direct sunlight it should be always kept inside shaded area. If kept temporarily outside then floor bottom to have proper cover
- 7. Empty pallets to be kept stacked when not in use
- 8. While lifting pallet with load the speed should be minimal
- 9. When Pallet with load kept on floor the gap between two pallets should be min 100mm
- Don'ts
- 1. Do not use overhead cranes or any other non standard equipments for handling pallet
- 2. Do not hit the pallet edges with forks for aligning the pallet. The sharp edges of the forks will damage the pallet
- 3. Do not use BOPT at high speed. While approaching the pallet the speed should be the least to avoid hitting the pallet with force
- 4. Do not allow untrained operators to handle the pallet. The intentional hitting of the forks can do permanent damage to the pallet
- 5. Do not put excess load/No point load
- 6. Never keep pallets in open area under direct sunlight
- 7. Do not throw/abuse the pallet
- 8. Do not unload at higher speed. The pallet may get damaged when landing on the floor
- 9. Do not hit one pallet with the other pallet both in loaded & empty condition
Pallet Testing
- Static Test:
The Goods are loaded uniformly on the pallet placing on a flat surface. The test examines whether the bottom pallet can take total weight.
- Racking Test:
The goods on pallet are loaded uniformly on the warehouse racking system. The test examines the deflection of the pallet when loaded with goods.
- Bending Test:
The test examines the pallet’s strength on bending method. The pallet will be loade on two bars while the upper surface will face with the upper bar. It will test the pallet support Horizontally on the both ends of pallet.
- Dynamic Test:
The goods on pallet are loaded uniformly and moved from one location to another by using hand lift/forklift/stacker. The test examines whether it can hold the goods while subjected to the active stresses.
- Compression Test:
The test examines the strength on bottom support by applying compressive load on vertical direction to bottom part of pallet.
- Drop Test:
The test examines the strength to deform due to drop impact by dropping the pallet in diagonal-line direction from a definite height.

Our pallets have anti slip option ensures optimized gripping of all types of loads including plastic containers. Some models also offer reinforced deck and skids to maximize life span in harsh environments.
Maximum loads: on high bay racking our heavy-duty pallets ensure minimum deflection and are compatible with automated warehousing systems. They can carry loads of up to 1250 kg on racks and 6 tons static.
